About us

Uttarakhand Association of Australia is a not-for-profit organization which is formed by the member originally belonging or having roots to Uttarakhand region in India.

Uttarakhand Association of Australia was formed in 2005 to provide an oppurtunity to Indian immigrants originating from Uttranchal region of India to form a social network and maintain roots to their culture. Society members meet once a month to discuss current and future activities and direction. Meetings are held in Melbourne. There is no compulsion or expectation for everyone to become a member as the intention is to provide a social network and not just to generate revenue from membership. Society’s strength is trust between members, honesty in approach and a willingness to help each other in which ever way possible.
